Bio
Eugenia Torre is a Visual Artist and very prolific contemporary ceramist.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1969
Based in Buenos Aires since 2015 after many years living and working in Italy (Tuscany) where she moves in 2007.
She graduated in 2003 at Buenos Aires Academy of Fine Arts: Prilidiano Pueyrredon, where she holds a bachelor’s Degree in Paint and Draw, and graduated as a teacher in visual arts : I.U.N.A.
In 2003 she created MET CERAMICA, her personal brand.
Her work has been showcased at solo as well as group exhibitions across America and Europe, and is part of private collections and design shops, Milano, Lima, Santiago de Chile, Berlin, Shanghai and Italy.
Currently working from her studio in Italy and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Statement
Working with clay is a certain kind of magic and a wonderful experience of freedom, to express my inner, imaginary and poetic world.
Ceramics pieces arise from my fascination of magic worlds and my passion for geometry and abstraction……also architecture, nature and of course…. COLORS
Color and space are the axes of my work.
My work is in constant movement and transformation, like a metaphysical experience…….
