Statement
CASA - The notion of paradise alludes to a utopian character, always unattainable, to a primary idealization based on a certain ingenuity that leads us to the territory of desire, towards which we are always in transit. The confrontation produced with the arrival on earth does not strange, causes the natural break with this idealization and other elements come into play: identities, belongings, differences, strangeness, nostalgia, adaptation. Internalizing the new context generates new images and aesthetics: the change also supposes not only a transformation of one's own identity, but also of an entire imaginary. And what does this imaginary consist of? Can we identify an imaginary and what are its referents? When we think of migration we think of need, uprooting, adaptation, and all the difficulties that this implies. And we also went to a large graphic archive of conventions, common to all. We think in icons.
