Statement

Denise Jiras work is characterized by presenting unconventional materials that allow the artist to expand the idea of the city and national reality. It takes as inspiration the architecture of ancient, colonial and modern Peru where it combines new forms with the desire to be a terrestrial witness of its environment.
She is an artist who brings together dissimilar elements to explore their hidden relationships. It creates non-existent structures that make the links between the Andean tradition and globalization appear, which underlie the common unconscious.
She is dedicated to the invention of images and compositions that realize latent possibilities between the margins and the center, the shapes and the sumptuousness of color.
