Photography is restless. It can be medium, technology, art, method and more. With each movement we make towards it, it moves away, defying any reduction. However, photography has not ceased to be a way of relating to each other, only now we know that its world can emerge in different ways: from formal registers, conceptual experiments, subjective and authorial voices. Carlos Caamaño Foto Galería is installed in this context. Founded in 2010 as an independent initiative to encourage photographic production in Peru and to promote its dissemination locally and abroad. With an exhibition line oriented towards author documentation and conceptual photography, the gallery acts as a platform, operating through the different practices that develops with the photographers that make it up.
