Statement
Stoll´s work has his basis in the traditional principles of the photographic medium. He wields his capacity in composition and an impeccable handling of light as his principal elements. He sets out to capture images, reacting spontaneously to those visual impulses which come his way, concocting practically in no time a new image, with the elements which spring up before his lens, obtaining in this way the best results out of natural light. His work might be defined as visual architecture displaying an awareness of the place, which has as starting point the construction of austere images of a formal aspect. Be it in portrait as well as in natural and urban landscape –genres that he reviews constantly- his images flow functional and naturally, giving birth to moments of contemplation and reflection on contemporary events.
