Statement

His work is based on dissimilar situations, in a certain atmosphere of tension and exile that materialises into a space which is distant from the represented image, a space which addresses preconceived ideas. He is interested in thinking about an icon’s capacity for appropriation and manipulation. For this, he makes use of family photo albums, and records from the suburbs of Buenos Aires. His work references catholic culture-popular religión and its festive aspects.
He is also interested in the relationship between word and image. He strivesto deal with preconceived ideas and make them problematic, such as the idea of hell as a place of matrydom, or celebrations as obligatory events of pleasure.
