Statement

In my work, painting appears as a medium that allows me to perform certain actions on the world. Subtracting, enlarging, deforming some everyday objects, displacing them from their context and territory in order to carry out emotional displacements of meaning. Objects are detached from my referential world. A pop childhood in the 90s, the grunge spirit and the anatomy of the cartoon. Memory occupies a central place in my painting. Through memory, ordinary objects emerge with a certain nostalgia, and through painting I can capture the emotional connection that links me to them.
