Statement

I am interested in the landscape as a possibility to imagine other scenographie. My artwork emerges from the nostalgia of lost paradises and in their artifice they are an auspicious attempt to make them present, as a romance that is impossible to conceive.
My painting is nurtered by depictions of nature: botanical prints, pictures of my own and images that I collect to assemble in wild compositions. Through overlays, montages and addition, I create tight scenes, but also controlled, where the attraction generated by the treatment of the surfaces and the impenetrability of the space created come into tension.
Beauty grows overwhelming and exuberant until it closes the way in its display of splendid monstrosity.
Everything is there for us to see and hidden at the same time.
