Statement
Paola Bascón’s work develops as an artistic research about ritual-poetic practices and the understanding of nature. Somatic tasks and craft traditions are often the starting point for interdisciplinary projects developed through installation, performance, video, painting or sound. Her work often deals with environmental concerns through participatory formats, combining storytelling and sensorial guided exercises with the interaction with tangible objects. The objects make a reference to ritual practices and are activated in order to enable a playful mediation with the more-than-human world.
