At the end of the 1960s, while interest in kinetic art was growing in Argentine art, Perla was a young artist interested in the study of movement and the phenomena of perception. Companies and foundations began to stimulate the trend and, in 1968, the National Hall opened the "Visual Research" section to include the new formats of experimental art. Benveniste obtained a Mention in the Visual Research Contest convened in 1970, . And with the passing of the decade, a withdrawal originated in her productions that gave rise to a marked transformation in the poetics of her works.
