Juan Astica
Bio
1953, Santiago de Chile in 1953, lives and works in Buenos Aires.
Since 1973 he has made numerous solo shows in different places: Van Riel Gallery, Recoleta Cultural Center, Gallery of the Infinite. Abroad, James Baird Gallery, Pouch Cove, Canada; RVS Gallery, New York; Providencia Cultural Institute and Kimberly Gallery of Art, Washington DC.
Of his collective exhibitions, the following stand out: Art & Living (Lepere Space, New York, 2010); Huit Regards Argentins (Galerie Guy Billout, France, 2008); Astica, Bairon, Stupia, Videla (IILA, Rome, 2004), Siglo XX Argentino, Artist's Books from Argentina. (Foundation for Today's Art Nexus, Philadelphia, 1998); Young Artists, Painting and Sculpture. Anita Shapolsky Gallery, New York (1993); The Conquest, C.C. Recoleta (1991).
His works are found in numerous public and private collections such as the National Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of the Americas, Sívori Museum and the Franklin Rawson Museum.
