Statement
In his work, painting and reading seem to merge, creating a space-time melting pot that is usually specific to them.
Cover, blank text, gutter, spine, rib, endorsement, spine, title piece, ranger, page, blank foot, brief, the body of the book, on one side, or frame, false frame, panel, canvas, passe - partout, brace, glaze, impasto, marouflage, all of this converges in an impossible topography patiently and methodically constructed, of worlds that bear worlds.
Additional information
These pocket paintings are the prototypes of a new approach in my work. The deterioration due to manipulation strikes me as an interesting way of bringing out the tension between the representation and its support, the painting.
