Statement
I consider myself a great collector. Many times I start a work from the rescue of
a fabric, industrial materials or found objects, which I appropriate and then
I investigate to understand their nature, their origin and their uses in order to resignify them to
through various media such as photography, painting, collage, sculpture, video and
facility.
At the beginning of my career I was interested in the hybridity of the identity of the subject
Latin American contemporary thought from the complex miscegenation of him. starting from me
own identity, I focused on a discourse where the Europeanizing sign was manifested
in the cultural (furniture, objects, brocades, fabrics) and the Latin American in that of nature
local exuberant, almost idealized and excessive. Thus, through the manipulation of objects, I was
erasing the force of the European influence with the aim of disappearing the aesthetics and forms
of life from the past, heirs of the colonial and republican eras.
