Robert Ferrer i Martorell
Bio
Graduated in 2004 from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. At the same university, he complements his training with the Doctorate courses in Engraving and Stamping at the same time that he begins his exhibition activity.
In 2008 he won the first "Art Jove" award from the Government of the Balearic Islands and in later years he was awarded, among others, the first "Rei en Jaume" Plastic Arts Award in Mallorca.
Statement
If we review his career we can see how light and its treatment have been an essential factor in the development of his creative concern, produced from the extremes of abstraction and minimalist trends. In a world where immediacy prevails, the work carefully investigates the truly important actions for the human being, making the emotions, the light and the inner sounds come out. It does so under a purist alphabet, with a mysterious and sensitive liturgy, modulated by silent spaces of time in which weightless forms born of reality sway, which, launched in a geometric formation, provide a poetically abstract universe.
