Ysabel LeMay
Bio
Born in Quebec, Canada, LeMay found her connection to the natural world as a child, in her family's secluded cabin in the north of the province. Although always more at peace in the desert, it is in the jungle of the advertising world that LeMay perfected the art of visual expression. In approximately 15 years, she managed the graphic design, art direction and operation of her own agency. The moment came, however, when she sought a rewarding and beneficial path for her creativity. LeMay turned initially to painting and then to photography, collecting the raw materials for his digital collages on his travels.
Statement
There's a very simple way to describe the work of Texas-based visual artist Ysabel LeMay: W.O.W. It stands for 'Wonderful Other Worlds', it's the panoramas of natural splendor that she creates through the process of hypercollage. His composite landscapes, the real world turned into paradisiacal perfection, are so vivid that the viewer is drawn not only to see them but to enter them.
